Sports Massage Therapy

What is the difference between Sports Massage and Focused Massage?

Sports massage is designed to release deep tension within the muscles and fascia, helping athletes recover faster and perform at their best. Techniques like cupping, IASTM, and myofascial release are also able to be utilized in this appointment. These therapies improve circulation, break up scar tissue, and restore natural movement patterns. By increasing blood flow and oxygen delivery to the muscles, they aid in the removal of metabolic waste, reduce muscle soreness, and prevent the formation of restrictive adhesions. This not only speeds up recovery, but also enhances flexibility, reduces the risk of injury, and promotes optimal performance during training and competition. Full 60-minute massage is available.

20 and 40 minute focused massages are also available. The focused massage is a service provided to give you focused muscle work on one or two areas using techniques such as muscle release, pin and stretch, IASTM, and cupping. Tori, our massage therapist, is an experienced sports massage therapist. This service is for all. No new patient exam required for this service.

β€œDr. Nolan has accumulated an incredible crew at Midwest Movement. Dr. Nolan and Dr. Ryan are excellent chiropractors, and I like their focus of staying active as we age. Adding Tori to the mix- I have thrown many strains at Dr. Nolan and Tori and they have put me back together each time. The education all of them offer to each patient moves them to a different level. Tori’s deep tissue treatments have done wonders for my shoulders. Collectively, they are an amazing, committed team. They add the small town, caring feel to our community!”
